THE ANNOUNCEMENT OF EID-UL-FITR AND THE MEDINA BLAST.
THE FIRST BLAST:
According to Al-Arabiya TV the suicide bomber detonated his device as Security officers were breaking the Ramadan fast.
It said at least two of the officers had been killed, but there has been no official confirmation.
Mosque is the burial place of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) and Medina the second Holiest city in Islam after Mecca.
State-linked Sabaq news and the Okaz newspaper also carries the report of the Suicide bombers attack.
Earlier, at least one Explosion rocked the eastern city of Qatif.
Qatif is a home to many minority Shia Muslims and the blast appeared to target a Shia mosque. The attacker was killed but not other causalities were reported yet.
THE SECOND BLAST:
A suspected suicide bomber also died after detonating a device near the US consulate in the City Jeddah.
Two security officers were slightly injured as they tackled the man, but no one else was hurt.
The social media footage from Medina showed some vehicles on fire in a car park area with two security officers lying nearby to the vehicles.
Other footages which are rumored a lot shows Ambulances and Police vehicles streaming and controlling the area.
Some other media report says that the officers were breaking their Ramadan fast when a young boy, said by Okaz to be approximately 18 years old, approached them and demanded to share the food, the officers shared the food on which the boy detonated the Explosives.
None of the groups have yet accepted to be behind the attacks.
- The Muslims come to the Ramadan drawing the close ahead of the EID ul fitr (Muslims religious day) holidays in Saudi Arabia.
EID UL FITR ANNOUNCEMENT:
The EID ul fitr Announcement was announced soon after the blast to be on Wednesday as the Holy month of Ramadan became of 30 days.
